Summary
Ramona's bad day begins in the morning when her father and sister Beezus take her oatmeal and continues at school when she does poorly on a spelling quiz and classmates make fun of her pot roast sandwich. Unfortunately, things do not improve after school. Ramona is forced to play with whiney Willa Jean Kemp, accidentally dumps a container of blue dye on her hands and endures a sentimental serenade by her Uncle Hobart. To make matters worse, Ramona's parents quarrel causing the girl to fear that they will divorce. The following day, however, all is forgotten as the Quimby family happily prepares to go on a picnic.
