- Summary
- This film was commissioned to Eisenstein to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the 1917 Revolution and was screened on November 7, 1927 as part of these celebrations. The film reflects the theories of "intellectual montage" and is noteworthy for such sequences as the "bridge rising" and Kerensky's lust for power. The version released in the United States and Great Britain entitled Ten Days that Shook the World is considerably shorter than the Soviet version.
