- Summary
- In rural Georgia in 1945, Frankie, a motherless 12-year-old girl struggling with the awkwardness of adolescence, makes naive plans to join her older brother and his bride on their honeymoon. When she is turned down, the humiliated Frankie runs away and quickly discovers the harsh realities of the adult world.
