- Summary
- Tourneur reveals the workings of a movie studio with care and humor in this silent comedy. Mary Baker, a pretty country girl, longs to escape her uninteresting existence on the farm. A motion picture company working on location near her home and a chance meeting with the leading man provide the desired opportunity. When she arrives in the city, everyone is impressed with her beauty but she fails her screen test. She promises to allow the leading man to take care of her. In the end, Mary's mother arrives, the young girl goes home and marries her country sweetheart.
