Summary

1. The story of a group of girls in search of millionaire husbands is used to link up, Ziegfeld style, a series of cine-ballets given a new dimension by Busby Berkeley's use of the camera. Production numbers include: "We're in the money," the pre-Hays code "Pettin' in the park," "The Shadow waltz," which features sixty illuminated violins weaving a violin-shaped pattern against a darkened background, and the finale "Remember my forgotten man," an elaborately mounted number inspired by unemployment during the Depression.
