Description
1 videocassette (44 min.) : sd. col./b&w.; 1/2 in.
Summary
Colorful video generated "fireworks" explode on the screen, and the videomaker is heard in conversation with Uncle Sam who comments about revolution and the resignation of Nixon. Zierot, a clown-like character played by DeWitt, is shorn of his beard and long hair and thrust into a synthesized "battlefield." In this video equivalent of Walt Disney movies that combine live action and animation, paper cut-out soldiers fall dead and accumulate in piles as the protagonist clings to life. A performance art protest against mindless militaristic patriotism. (also available in 3/4 in. format).
