- Description
- 1 film reel (7 min.) : sd. col.; 16 mm.
- Summary
- Between 1877 and 1885 an English photographer, Eadweard Muybridge, conducted detailed experiments in the analysis of human and animal motion by means of sequential photography. Straiton's film is a respectful but playful homage to this pre-movie pioneer of the cinema. The viewer sees what proper Victorian men and women look like under their vests and skirts. Nude humans are compared to nude animals in the many variations of work and play that compose the dance of life.
