Summary
  1. Autobiographical work in which playwright David Henry Hwang examines the dilemma of Asian Americans in the performing arts. The play makes reference to his own earlier works M. Butterfly and Face value, and to the controversy surrounding the casting of Welsh actor Jonathan Pryce as a Eurasian character in the 1990 Broadway musical Miss Saigon.
