A run-through of the dance sequence, and the song intro, of the number "Mr. Monotony," originally intended for, but later cut from, the Broadway musicals Miss Liberty (1949) and Call me madam (1950). Jerome Robbins' voice is heard off-camera following the run-through. The rehearsal was conducted in preparation for the musical retrospective Jerome Robbins' Broadway, which premiered in 1989 at the Imperial Theatre, New York, N.Y.
