  • Binding, by G. Mercier Sr de son père, 1924, cf olive green morocco, gilt. Sides within a frame of three five-line fillets intersecting at the corners. Volume 1. Doubl"e with brown morocco inlaid in a design by Gaston Bussière. Center panel within a band of bright green morocco and a frame of violets, white, purple, and violet with pink and gold centers; an olive green stalk of five white lilies, entwined by a rose tree with full blown rose and two buds, in two shades of pink, and dark green leaves; a stippled halo effect in gold forms a background for these blossoms. Lining of brown grosgrain silk. Back in six compartments (formed by heavy bands) lettered in one, and tooled in the lined fillet design. With gilt edges and green and gold end papers. Volume 2 in three-quarters leather and green marbled paper; doublé with green and gold marbled paper. Back in six compartments, without tooling, with lettering in two. With gilt top.
