Originally issued in 26 monthly parts, Jan. 1808-Feb. 1810. 1810. Vol. 1 of this copy is presumably not of an early issue as the errata have been corrected and pl. 32 has watermark: 1816. Vol. 2-3 contain the errors and the plates are watermarked 1808 and 1809.
Text of v. 1-2 by W. H. Pyne, of v. 3 by W. Combe.
Illustrations: 104 colored aquatints by J. Bluck, J. C. Stadler and others, after A. C. Pugin and T. Rowlandson. The latter drew the figures, the former the architectural backgrounds. Except for "Cock pit" and "British Institution" none of the test plates described by Abbey are in the first state.
With bookplates of the Bibliothèque de Rosny [library of Marie Caroline Ferdinande Louise de Naples, duchesse de Berry] and of Victorien Sardou.
