- Gothic type (Proctor 4092); 78 lines of commentary surrounding text. With initial indicators and initial spaces; without catchwords, foliation and signature marks. Leaves 2-305 wrongly numbered 1-303 in an old hand. Rubricated: larger initials in red or blue with calligraphic ornamentation in red, blue or brown; smaller initials and other rubics in red and blue. Five large colored initials with gold background.
- With colophon, leaf 305b.
- Illustrations: 5 contemporary miniatures in spaces left blank for the purpose on leaves 2a,83b,155b,220b, and 242b, executed in watercolor and colored inks, presumably by a Venetian artist although there are traces of Paduan and Florentine influence. All are within architectural frames. Coat ofarms in gold and color painted at foot of leaf 2a.
- With the gloss by Bernardus Bottonus; edited by Alexander de Nevo and Petrus Albinianus Trecius.
- Binding, 17 or 18th century Italian, of vellum; upper and lower margins slightly cropped.
