- Summary
- Actor, author, and teacher Eric Morris lectures on his approach to acting. He traces the evolution of the study of acting from Russia's Konstantin Stanislavsky to the American Group Theatre of the 1930s, and on to the later Method training of the Actors Studio. He examines the approaches of prominent teachers such as Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, and Martin Landau, and contrasts their techniques with his own. After Morris takes questions from the audience a scene is performed from Nine Ten Eden Street, an unproduced 1931 play by Clifford Odets. The scene features actors Carlina Ferrari and Doron Toister, under the direction of Morris' student Anthony Vincent Bova.
