Lucinda Childs (post-modern choreographer/dancer) discusses her choreography before and after break (1968-1973), what she looks for in dancers, the influences of Merce Cunningham and George Balanchine, collaborating with Robert Wilson for Einstein on the beach, and the important step she took in creating the choreographic work Dance. At the conclusion of interview, Alexandre Proia rehearses his Pas in D for two with two students from the School of American Ballet.
