- Summary
- Translation of letters 1-150 (Dec. 13, 1746-Dec. 26, 1764) in the correspondence of Voltaire and D'Alembert.

- In ink, on rectos of untrimmed late 18th-cent. English paper; occasional notes on facing versos. Presumably in the hand of the unknown translator; numerous strikethroughs and emendations throughout.
- Foliated 3-213 (leaves 1-2 wanting).
- At end: "End of the first volume." In pencil on verso of leaf 213: "To be lettered on the back: Letters of Voltaire & D'Alembert."
