Summary
  1. Leading director and teacher Anne Bogart discusses her career with Newsday critic Linda Winer. Bogart, who founded the Saratoga International Theatre Institute (SITI) in 1992 with Tadashi Suzuki, speaks about the new works she has produced there such as the medieval play Death of a ploughman, and her training of young theatre artists. Bogart speaks also about the theatrical technique of Viewpoints, which she helped to develop and which she incorporates in much of her work; her views on American theatrical technique; and her objectives as a director to find "a unique way" into each play.
