Summary
Actress Fiona Shaw and director Deborah Warner are the guests on Theater talk, hosted Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins. They discuss Warner's production of Medea with Shaw in the title role at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The two discuss their interpretation of the Euripides play, addressing such topics as the play's relationship to current events, "why" Medea commits her monstrous crime, the decision to set the play in the present day, and the demanding process they put themselves through in staging the classic Greek drama.
