Summary

1. Actor Brian Cox speaks with Theater talk co-hosts Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins. The Scottish born Cox is known for his film, television and stage work, both in England and the United States. Cox speaks about his Broadway stage role as Marc in the play Art, in which he replaced Alan Alda. He expounds on the play by Yasmina Reza, which addresses the relationship between three older professional men. He also speaks about his role in the Off-Broadway play St. Nicholas by Conor McPherson, in which he played a jaded drama critic seduced by vampires; his role as the original Hannibal Lechter in the movie Manhunter; his working process; and how he came to be an actor.
