Summary
Wes Chapman, Ballet Master of the American Ballet Theatre, moderates a panel discussion about the ABT's production of The sleeping beauty. Panelists include dancers Gelsey Kirkland and Michael Chernov. Michael Chernov talks about the history of the ballet Sleeping beauty and the current production. Gelsey Kirkland discusses the difficulties of dancing the Rose adagio and why Sleeping beauty is so important to ABT. The panel discussions are interspersed by excerpts from the ballet as well as sements of Gelsey Kirkland coaching the dancers. Includes a slideshow of set design sketches by Tony Walton and a slideshow of costume design sketches by Willa Kim.
