- A household scene focused around the image of a son parting from his father, who clasps his hand. The prodigal son is depicted in fine 18th century attire, including a top hat and a sword. The father wears a robe over his clothing. Pictured in the background are a woman seated at a table and a man carrying parcels to a carriage visible through the doorway.
