Summary
Spring benefit performance for the Professional Children's School, a school which offers college preparatory academic courses to children who perform professionally in the theater, film, television, ballet, etc. In addition to the performance, this ceremony also marks the presentation of the Richard Rodgers Award for Distinguished Service to the Performing Arts to Mary Rodgers, composer and daughter of Richard Rodgers, and producer/director William Hammerstein, son of Oscar Hammerstein II. The program consists primarily of songs by Rodgers & Hammerstein, plus one song by Mary Rodgers, one with music by William Hammerstein, and two classical pieces.
