To welcome our beloved and most welcome, dear and great guest, the world famous and singularly genial Jewish artist-comic and talented musical composer Mr. Sigumnd Mogulesco who has only recently returned from Europe and for the first time since will tread amongst us Wednesday 19 Ocotber 1898. And for this momentous artist and night will be performed his rare success "The Specter." Mr. Mogulesco in the unmatched success as the character of Bubbe Khava. And we would like to remark: That your beloved Mogulesco who is constantly thinking and even lives for his Jewish public has not forgotten about his Jewish brothers, friends and patrons and has added something new for this upcoming season.]
  • [AND IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT TO ADD:In honor of the great artist and musician Mr. Sigmund Moguelsco, our entire cast will appear on stage and accompanying him will be his distinguished colleagues, the well-known artist David Kessler and Sigmund Faynman who together have already made a name for themselves as a threesome. Mr. Moscowitz, Mr. Torenberg, everyone will be present to crown the first steps of Mr. Mogulesco.]
  • [It will be an evening of art and talent and we are certain that the evening of WEDNESAY 19 OCTOBER will be forever recorded in the golden book among Mogulesco's greatest triumphs. Men and women, boys and girls, grandmothers and grandfathers, young and old, come and greet our precious guest the great artist, Mogulesco.]
  • [Worthy public! Sigmund Mogulesco who has just returned from Europe and will perform Wednesday 19 October for the first time in Thalia Theatre. It is the same Mogulesco that is famous, beloved and known in all corners of the world. Why? Since, even when the Yiddish theatre was lying in its swaddling clothes Mogulesco hurdled onto it with a rare talent. In later years Moguleco, tore away the clownish mask he wore and was deemed by the world the only on with a right to be called a comic. The comic is not there to tickle the audience with tired jokes and burlesque. Moguleco had the nature to be a comic. When he appears, one has no choice but to laugh since his person importunes us to laugh. And when Mogulesco says earnestly on stage, "Not the plate was broken, but the plate broke" there lies within him the nature of a young boy who cannot possibly express himself any differently. ANd in such a way Moguelsco demands of us to laugh, Yes, indeed we laugh, since we must because Mogulesco wants us to laugh.]
  • At top of poster: Thalia Theatre.
  • [And that is the definition of a good comic, the value of his music that illuminates all his performances and seals their success is also well known to the public. Also, Mogulesco will appear on the noble stage of the Thalia Theatre Wednesday 19 October can you afford to miss out on the most beautiful, the most elevated show of the season? Come all to greet this artist. Respectfully, The Company.
