Summary
  • Educational Dept. records consist manly of Fannia May Cohn's activites as executive secretary for the department, 1918-1962. Records are divided into 2 series: First series: Correspondence between Fannia M. Cohn and individuals, pertaining to trade union matters in general and the ILGWU specifically. Included in this series are programs for lectures, concerts, museum visits and tours of New York City.
  • Second series: includes bulletins, articles by Fannia M. Cohn, lecture series (course outlines) at Unity Centers at the Workers' University (founded 1918) developed mainly through her efforts. It also includes articles by Mark Starr.
