Summary
  1. Homer Avila discusses his dance experiences, and his discovery and coping process involved with his cancer and subsequent surgery to remove his right leg and hip. Alonzo King discusses Avila's participation in his workshop, the reaction of the other participants, and the creation and rehearsal process for his work Pas, for Avila and Flores. Andrea Flores discusses working with Avila during the creation of Alonzo King's Pas which premiered at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. in 2002 and was performed with AXIS Dance Company in Oakland later that year.
  2. Phoenix dance blends scenes from interviews, studio rehearsals, and the theatre performance of Alonzo King's Pas.
