Summary
This program explores the ballets of Antony Tudor at American Ballet Theatre. The program opens with a complete performance of Continuo, followed by a commentary on the ballet from Donald Mahler. Michael Owen speaks about working with Tudor. The panelists discuss Pillar of fire, Donald Mahler coaches dancers in steps from the ballet, and an excerpt is performed in costume. The panelists discuss partnering in Tudor's ballets and Owen speaks about dancing in the original production of Leaves are fading. A pas de deux from Leaves are falling is performed. The program also includes two excerpts from a filmed interview with Tudor, with dance demonstrations by Nora Kaye.
