Summary
  1. Excerpts from a New York City Opera production of Rameau's Platée are interspersed with comments from director/choreographer Mark Morris and costume designer Isaac Mizrahi. Dance and vocal excerpts are performed in costume. Mark Morris discusses how he discovered the opera, his love of baroque music, the differences between his choreography for operas and for stand-alone dance pieces, how his opera productions are affected by the houses in which they are staged, and his current and upcoming projects. Mizrahi discusses the inspiration for his costumes for Platée, his collaborations with Morris, the differences between fashion design and costume design.
