Summary

1. Excerpts from the opera Modern painters are interspersed with commentary from the composer, librettist and director of the production. Modern painters was based on the life of John Ruskin and premiered at the Santa Fe Opera in the summer of 1995. The commentary is difficult to hear due to low sound level.
