- Summary
- Introduction to the series World of Dance followed by Marian Horosko's introduction of the program, namely a recording of the reception for the opening of Harkness House for Ballet Arts in the course of which Horosko and her co-host, Alvin H. Reiss, speak with Rebekah Harkness and others. [The program shifts to the recording of the reception.] Rebekah Harknesss discusses [with Reiss] the purpose of Harkness House, including its being the official home of the Harkness Ballet; the building's facilities; and [with Horosko] the teaching staff. [To Reiss] Bernard Gersten, John Taras, Anatole Chujoy, and Myron Kelly give their reactions to the new facility. [The program returns to the broadcast studio.] Reiss and Horosko discuss the facility in general and then play a selection from Harkness's composition Macumba suite.

- Recording of interviews with Rebekah Harkness and others conducted by Alvin H. Reiss and Marian Horosko at the reception for the opening of Harkness House for Ballet Arts, at 4 E. 75th Street, New York City. The recording of the reception was made for radio station WNYC, New York, for its series World of Dance, and is preceded and followed by the comments of Horosko and Reiss, who are the series' hosts. Harkness House opened on Nov. 18, 1965, but the studio portion of the radio program was made on Jan. 13, 1966.
