Summary
  1. This program was part of a week-long series of films relating to Merce Cunningham shown on MetroArts/Thirteen. The program begins with an interview in which Cunningham discusses the making of the choreographic works Travelogue, How to pass..., and Crises, including the musical scores and decor for the pieces. The first film shown is a documentary on Merce Cunningham, who is interviewed along with former Cunningham dancer Carolyn Brown and several current company members. The documentary also includes footage from rehearsals and classes at Cunningham's Westbeth Studio, and excerpts from several of his works, including Travelogue, Exchange and Squaregame. The program concludes with archival films of How to pass... and Crises.
