Segment one: Arsenio Hall show, aired WCBS-TV, Channel 9, 7/27/92. Dramatist and actor Anna Deavere Smith talks about her one woman show Fires in the mirror at the Joseph Papp Public Theater. No footage or excerpt of the performance but Smith does perform two characters from her play: Al Sharpton and Roz Malamud.
Segment two: News at five, aired WCBS-TV, Channel 2, 8/5/92. Another round of free Shakespeare at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Rehearsal for the second play of the season, The comedy of errors. Marisa Tomei plays one of the twins; brief footage of rehearsal and short interview with Tomei.
Segment three: Entertainment tonight, aired WCBS-TV, Channel 2, 8/6/92. ET newsreel. In New York at the Joseph Papp Public Theater, a look at the Marilyn Monroe film festival; one Monroe look-alike is interviewed in the lobby about the star.
Segment four: Real life, aired CNBC cable television, Channel 6, 8/27/92. Excerpts from Fires in the mirror and interview with Anna Deavere Smith.
