Documentary filmed during the 1939 summer session of the Bennington School of the Dance at Mills College, Oakland, Calif. Includes brief footage of modern dancers Hanya Holm, Martha Graham, Doris Humphrey, and Charles Weidman in performance; glimpses of classes in modern dance technique and related subjects; an excerpt from a student's solo titled Never sign a letter Mrs.; and excerpts from Louise Kloepper's solo Statement of dissent.
