Summary
  1. Disc 1: Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet master Jean-Pierre Frohlich, directs a rehearsal of excerpts from Fancy free. The session begins with rehearsals of the three sailors' variations, followed by rehearsal of the first girl's entrance, and the remainder of the ballet from the pas de deux to the end. The last three minutes of the tape contain the beginning of a rehearsal of Three-page sonata.
  2. Disc 2: Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet master Victor Castelli, directs a rehearsal of Three-page sonata. This pas de deux may have been choreographed for Ives, songs, but was not included in the final version of the ballet.
