  • "Les Parents Terribles had its world premiere in Paris on November 14, 1938, but was shut down a month later by the Municipal Council of Paris following accusations of immorality. An attempted revival in October 1941 met a similar fate. The film version, directed by Jean Cocteau . . . was released in 1948. The Royal National Theatre production of Les Parents Terribles opened at the Lyttleton Theatre on April 21, 1994. Indiscretions is the Broadway debut of Les Parents Terribles" --Program.
