Summary
Edward R. Murrow interviews performer Mary Martin in her home at Norwalk, Connecticut. Martin shows some of the art in her home, including paintings by friends such as Beatrice Lillie and Janet Gaynor, and briefly plays violin and piano. She discusses the premiere of her upcoming show, Peter Pan, a new musical version for the stage, which will feature her 12 year-old daughter Heller Halliday in the cast. Heller is unable to appear on camera because of illness, but recites verse from her room off camera.
