Summary

1. This program demonstrates the training received by students in the Hot hips workshop, which focused on Afro-Brazilian dance. Charles Wright, director of the workshop, introduces the program and directs a jazz warmup and combinations. Gary Sojkowski introduces a performance of a Congolese song learned in his music class. Jelon Vieira directs exercises and improvisations in capoeira. Finally, students demonstrate Brazilian dance steps. The recording ends abruptly; the last part of the program does not appear on the tape.
