Wieck of the Pierpont Morgan Library ... came to our rescue with translations and correlated them with the original old French text."--Introd., signed by Kitty Maryatt.
  • Each passage is individually designed and illustrated and signed by the student.
  • "We chose a paper hinting of vellum, Mohawk Superfine 80 lb. Cover. The text was hand-set in Scripps College Old Style and other fonts. The old French was set in Duc de Berry, a computer font designed by calligrapher Gottfried Pott. Illustrations were cut from linoleum and printed by letterpress. The binding reflects laced-in wood board covers of the period when Tondal was written. We used modern Finn-ply with a Burgundy red coating"--Colophon.
