Summary
Play based on a possibly apocryphal meeting in 1947 between Branch Rickey, general manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers baseball team, and three prominent African Americans from the worlds of entertainment and sports: Paul Robeson, Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, and Joe Louis. Rickey supposedly called the men together to discuss his choice of Jackie Robinson to integrate major league baseball, but whether the meeting actually occurred is not known.
