Summary

This tape contains footage from the outdoor gala celebrating the beginning of the 1986 season at Jacob's Pillow. The first ten minutes records a performance by Australian musician Colin Offord, who plays the mouthbow and sings. The remainder of the tape records a performance by Soh Daiko Japanese taiko drummers. The group is introduced by Hollis Headrick, producer of the music series at Jacob's Pillow, and a member of the group introduces the pieces that are performed and speaks about the group. There is also some footage of guests at the gala between the two performances and at the end of the tape.
