Summary
Inside/out is a series of outdoor programs at Jacob's Pillow, in which dancers rehearse and discuss their works with the audience in a casual setting. This tape contains excerpts from three Inside/out programs. In the first Marta Renzi rehearses excerpts from What do you do, dear, with Melissa Matson, Artichoke for two and For the love of the working with Peter Stathos. Renzi discusses the last work and how it expresses tenderness and anger. In the second program, Martha Partridge and five dancers rehearse two works in progress, one for five dancers, titled 5s, with an incomplete score by David Friedman, and the other a duet titled Eskimo. In the third program, Tom Evert rehearses excerpts from an untitled work in progress set to music by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and describes the complete work. The filming consists of segments which start and stop abruptly.
