Summary
This is a synthetic collection consisting of manuscripts and correspondence. The manuscripts include two holograph poems. The correspondence consists of letters from the author, dating from 1830 to 1859, to Morton M. Michael, George's son William H. Morris, Samuel Stevens, Henry Theodore Tuckerman, Nathaniel Parker Willis, and others. There are letters to Morris from Sarah Josepha Hale, Washington Irving, Lydia Howard Hunter Sigourney, and Nathaniel Parker Willis, dating from 1853 to 1863.
