Summary
Telecast of a PBS telecast performance, with additional introduction, interview, and afterword. In the interview, which precedes the performance, principal dancer Ethan Stiefel recalls dancing in the ballet's premiere and in the telecast performance. Wendy Perron's preview of coming events at the end of the program is cut short. The PBS telecast features Le corsaire, a ballet in three acts, based on the poem by Lord Byron. Prior to each act, the principal dancers and others summarize the complicated plot.
