With this work our great writer became well-known throught the world. This play has been performed in German, Russian, English, Polish and French. Our great theatrical artists Maurice Schwartz, David Kessler, and Rudolf Schildkraut became renowned while performing Sholem Asch's famed drama. Leonid Sokolov, the premier interpreter of classical repertoire on the Yiddish stage, performs in this play just once with the Vizsho-Crespo troupe in Teatro Mitre ... this coming Monday the 25th, 9:45 p.m. Main roles: Jacob Tshaptshovitsh, the house pimp: Leonid Sokolov.
