  • High button shoes opened on Oct. 9, 1947 at the New Century Theatre, New York City, and closed July 2, 1949 at the Broadway Theatre, New York City. It had music by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn and a book by Stephen Longstreet. On a Sunday by the sea, reconstructed in part through the use of archival film, was included in Jerome Robbins' Broadway (1989).
