  1. Episode of the Connecticut Public Television program Connecticut. Broadcast October 12, 1977 on CPTV. Host Nancy Savin reports on the American Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford, Conn. and its transition to the Connecticut Center for the Performing Arts. Savin interviews various theatrical notables about the transition, the importance of exposing children to performances of Shakespeare's plays, the importance of Shakespeare's works to actors and the subsequent influence on their training, and the beauty and importance of Shakespearean language. The importance of fund raising is also discussed.
