These and other materials were previously owned by Howard Bliss, Frank Fletcher, Jerome Kern, Sydney Cockerell, and Clement K. Shorter. The proof of the photogravure portrait photograph of Hardy by Alvin Langdon Coburn is a gift of David Holmes.
