Summary
Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet master Victor Castelli, directs a rehearsal of the trumpet section of Fanfare. The trumpets duet is rehearsed first by Tom Gold and Gen Horiuchi, next by Patrick Hinson and Jerome Kipper, and lastly by Patrick Hinson and Michael Byars. All five dancers rehearse the trumpet sections of the opening theme, the fugue and the finale.
Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet master Christine Redpath, directs a rehearsal of the brass section of Fanfare. There is a run-through of the horns, trumpets, and tuba and trombones sections, followed by the brass sections of the fugue and finale. Further rehearsal of the horns section follows. Robbins discusses the interpretation of choreography and demonstrates steps.
