- Each etching depicts 6 staves of music in Monk's personal notation.
- "This book was designed and printed by Jacob Samuel. The plates were made in the composer's New York City studio in February of 2003 using hardground etching techniques. The printing assistant was Eric Ziemann. The papers are Fabriano Uno and handmade Gampi. Typography and letterpress by Les Ferriss. Bookbinding by Klaus-Ullrich S. Rötzscher"--Colophon.

- Each etching is signed by Meredith Monk and numbered 19/20. Printmaker Jacob Samuel worked in collaboration with Monk to allow her hand to create the actual drawing, which he printed on an intaglio press.
