The bulk of the materials is from Elizabeth Mayer, Caroline Newton, and the Group Theatre archive. Other items came with Auden's correspondence to various individuals or with material relating to him. Some of the material was a gift from Dr. John Auden, Wendell Stacy Johnson, Eric Sheffield, and Monroe Spears.
