Summary

• Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet master Jean-Pierre Frohlich, directs a rehearsal of excerpts from Fancy free. The opening of the ballet, from the sailors' entrance to the entrance of the first girl, is rehearsed with many repetitions. The first girl's role is danced by Jean-Pierre Frohlich. Robbins demonstrates choreography and discusses the interpretation of particular steps. At the beginning of the tape, Robbins talks about the way the music for the ballet was composed.
• Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet master Jean-Pierre Frohlich, directs a rehearsal of excerpts from Mother Goose. Most of the rehearsal covers the section from the opening of the ballet through the entrance of the Blackamoors. There are brief rehearsals of the Chinese segment and the ending of the ballet.
