Summary
Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet master Jean-Pierre Frohlich, directs rehearsals of Mother Goose. First the princess's entrance is rehearsed with only the princess and her two attendants. Three dancers, including Nilas Martins, rehearse the role of the prince, from his entrance through his pas de deux with the princess. A run-through the ballet with full cast follows, with some interruptions and repetitions. Jean-Pierre Frohlich performs the three children's roles: Hop o' my Thumb, the courier and Cupid. Robbins discusses and demonstrates choreography.
